JINHUA, once called Wuzhou in the ancient time, is an important transportation hub and a key city in the middle region of Zhejiang province. It is the connection area between the inland and the coastal economically developed areas of Shanghai Economic Development Zone. The Zhejiang-Jiangxi double line of Jinhua railway runs through the territory of Pujiang , Yiwu, Jinhua Municipality, Jinhua county; Jinhua-Qiandaohu railway and Jinhua-Wenzhou railways cross at Jinhua city. The key project of Ministry of Railway in Jinhua has completed construction and has been put into use. The planned Jinhua-Ningbo railway, Jinhua-Jiaojiang railway and Yellow Moutains-Qiandaohu railway will pass Jinhua. Jinhua highway links Hangzhou and Shanghai in the north, connecting Quzhou in the west and Ninbo and Taizhou port by the east, reaching Wenzhou Port in the south. The highway mileage in the city reaches 4739 kilometers. The Hangzhou-Jinhua-Quzhou expressway (Jinhua section), Jinhua-Lishui-Wenzhou expressway (Jinhua section) are now in the preparation stages of construction, whose total estimated investment amount is about 3,000 million RMB. The Yiwu airport which is only 50 kilometers away from Jinhua city proper has opened more than 10 routes to Guangzhou, Beijing, Shenzhen, etc, which has further strengthened the transportation advantages of Jinhua municipality.
